Our Story

The bow tie's been around for ages, popping up in different cultures and times. It all started way back in the 1600s when Croatian soldiers used cloth to keep their collars in place. French nobles thought it looked pretty cool and turned it into the cravat, which eventually became the bow tie we know now. From fancy European courts to schools and closets all over the globe, the bow tie made its mark.

Over the years, the bow tie became known as a symbol of class, smarts, and being different. Statesmen, teachers, musicians, actors, and artists all rocked them. It's always had a bit of a split personality—part old-school tradition, part I'm doing my own thing. That's what gets us going. We want to share that vibe with anyone who's interested in the bow tie's forever cool style.

Our Mission

Our goal is pretty simple:

Keep the bow tie's story alive by telling its tale and respecting where it came from.

Teach and get people excited about bow ties, giving simple tips on styles, materials, and how to tie them.

Make bow ties easy to get into, so anyone—newbie or a lifelong lover—can feel good in one.

Push people to be themselves, using bow ties to show off their style.

We think the bow tie isn't just for dress-up. It's for everyday life. Wear it to weddings, parties, class, work, shows, or even just hanging out. It's as flexible as the people who wear it.

Our Values

Respect the Past – We're all about the bow tie's formal side, from black tie parties to super fancy events.

Be Creative – Go wild with patterns, materials, and styles. The bow tie is a way to show who you are.

Easy for Everyone – We want everyone to feel welcome in the bow tie world, no matter how much they know.

Good Work – We care about how things are made, paying attention to the detail that goes into a great bow tie.

Keep it Going – In a world of quick trends, the bow tie is something that lasts, often passed down through families.

Our Vision

We see the bow tie as more than just something you wear—it's a part of our culture. We want to make sure it stays cool and up-to-date. By mixing old and new styles, we want people to see the bow tie as not just old-fashioned, but always in style.

We see the bow tie as:

A cool part of dress-up events.

A fun touch to everyday outfits.

A sign of being confident and unique.

Something that links history to how we dress now.

Why We're Here

The bow tie can change an outfit in a snap. It brings attention to your face, shows off your personality, and says something without you even talking. Some see it as classy. Others see it as brave, funny, or artsy. We're here to keep that feeling alive—to make sure anyone who wants to wear a bow tie can do it feeling good, knowing what they're doing, and without any trouble.

For Everyone

The bow tie is for everyone. Kings and rebels, scientists and artists, teachers and performers have all worn it. It doesn't matter your age, gender, or what you're doing. Whether it's silk for a party, cotton for summer, or velvet for the holidays, the bow tie fits anyone who wears it. We want to show that it's not stuck in the past—it's freed by it.

Our Promise

When you hang out with us, you're not just reading about clothes—you're joining a group that values being yourself. We promise to keep sharing ideas, history, guides, and style tips that make the bow tie feel easy and fun. We promise to keep exploring, learning, and loving this accessory in every way we can.

One Last Thing

For hundreds of years, the bow tie has been a mix of old and new. It's been a sign of class, smarts, style, and guts. It has history in its folds and possibility in its knot.

Our story is tied to that past. Yours can be, too.

Because every bow tie is more than just cloth—it's character, it's confidence, and it's you.
